In this video, Dr. Berg talks about the best remedy for low progesterone. Progesterone is involved in the 2nd part of the menstrual cycle, it enhances the survival of the fetus during pregnancy and we have severely low progesterone during menopause. He also talks about the system of Progesterone Deficiency.

Symptoms of Low Progesterone
• Painful Breast – Estrogen Dominant Problem
• Anxiety
• Sleep
• Headaches
• Weight Gain
• Infertility
• H2O Retention
*Recommendation: Chaste Tree + Dim (Concentrated Cruciferous Blend)

I recently have a question from someone who wanted to know what is the best remedy for low progesterone. Let’s just first talk about what progesterone does. It is involved in the second part of the menstrual cycle, it enhances the survival of the fetus when someone is pregnant, during menopause we get this altered estrogen and progesterone ratios. We get moderate drop of estrogen but we get a severe drop of progesterone leaving the person estrogen dominant. Here’s some symptoms, painful breast but I got some really good success recommending sea kelp because the higher amounts of iodine helps to lower estrogen. I really think this symptom is an estrogen dominant problem and not necessarily progesterone deficiency but anyway I just want to include it there. Another symptom of low progesterone is anxiety and then sleep problems, headaches, PMS, weight gain, infertility and fluid retention. And a lot of women take wild yam for low progesterone, but the problem with wild yam is really phytoestrogen. It is not something that necessary brings up progesterone, a much better solution if you were to combine Chaste Tree with something called Dim which is a Concentrated Cruciferous Blend. Alright, that’s what I would recommend and thanks for watching!

Dr. Berg, I have a question. I'm on bhrt, progesterone and estrogen and DHEA, and to treat thyroid disease, I'm also on the iodine protocol. I'm taking 50 mg a day of iodine. From what I understand from what you just said the iodine might actually be wiping out the estrogen I'm taking? The estrogen I'm using is transdermal. Any thoughts appreciated. Thank you.

  34. L Robinson says:

I have to tell you Dr. Berg, when I turned 35, I had cystic breasts, Poly cystic ovaries, could not keep a pregnancy, (after having two babies years earlier), and had heavy periods. I was not overweight, but had a fatty liver and Hashimoto's.I was scheduled for a biopsy on my breasts, and was nervous. I read everything I could. I read about Progestacare, and started on a 21 day/month regiment with a dab a day on any place where fat was on my body. My breasts cleared within a month, I became pregnant, and had another girl at 36 and a boy at 42. It changed my life. Just my story. xo
