Our small-medium town is soon getting a Grocery Outlet store. Hallelujah! I won't have to drive 40 miles to their store! Dollar Saver is great for laundry soap, dish soap, band aids, 4-roll packs of toilet tissue (all $1.).

Salt is actually not a problem, if one doesn't overdo on carbs from flour, grains, sweet fruit, and of course, added sugar. Sugar holds onto water so much more than salt does. I actually add pink salt to my water, and my blood pressure is never high. Sugar and vegetable oils are behind modern diseases. And of course, animal products, if those animals were fed sugar in form of molasses and grain.

Wish I could grow tomatoes. I've tried & tried. We have very shady, small property. I manage to grow a few peppers in our upper window boxes…..but no luck growing tomatoes, unfortunately. That was a fabulous price on walnuts! We get medjool dates, too. SO good ! Will be praying for you.

Great video. I’m very addicted to the poison. My parents are too. Not that it’s their fault. I’m saying that is typically where we learn what or how to eat. I am trying to overhaul my diet. I just found out I have fatty liver. I already have many autoimmune diseases. My biggest problem is sugar. Sweets and soda. I’ve made some headway into lowering my sweets by dehydrating fruits. Like organic strawberries and pineapple and blueberries, making my own fruit leather. But I’m still having issues with soda. I’ve been praying.

Thank you Starry. I am fairly new to your channel and I already love you! I know all these things, but we all need reminders from time to time and especially in the context of keeping our temples holy and healthy and not listening to satan with his temptations.

Good choices! I agree! It’s scary how we have to be so untrusting of all the food products out there… more about profit it seems then health these days.

Good stuff as always thanks! I'd love to see your favorite recipes for quinoa! I've been trying to be more careful about what I'm eating because I often resort for quick and easy microwave stuff out of laziness! I've noticed that many seem healthy-ish but check the serving size… 1 box is 2 servings!

I bought the wonder Mill jr hand Mill grain grinders, can also make all kind of nut butters, along with my own flours ect. Well worth the cost to always have fresh as needed

Must watch where things come from. China,Mexico, and other countries, Many times don't keep standards up. I know sometimes you just have to do what you have to do. Just be careful.

I saw what you had in your cart Starry. What are chocolate covered bark chips? Just kidding!! I’m watching videos on fermenting cucumbers to make my own pickles. I love hot and spicy pickles, but they have so much sodium. Even home made fermented pickles use a load of salt in the brine. 5 tablespoonfuls per half gallon of water or something like that. I like to drink the brine.

  29. Vera Shular says:

I canned tomatoes last year. I cannot afford tomatoes to put up this year. So I have to get store bought canned tomatoes. On a fixed income so I cannot buy organic. Too old to farm now and have major disabilities. So many of us just do not have a choice.
